Moto Guzzi tank bag for stelvio 2012

I bought a factory Moto Guzzi tank bag and mounting it as I thought it should be installed (no directions) the bag does not fit tight and flops all over the tank. Also the two straps with the hooks that hold it to the back of the tank did not have enough Velcro on it to tighten up and I had to have new straps made hoping this would help.

Has anyone else installed one of these bags and get it secured to the tank ?

I was thinking that maybe it was for a different year but it came from a factory dealer who took all my information on my bike.

I don't have one of these bags for my 2012 so can't comment on that part, however, that picture shows the bag on a pre 2012 model tank. Perhaps they are not made for the 2012s or your dealer ordered the wrong one.

I have one of these on my 2010 and although there is some 'play' in it from side to side I would say it fits quite snug and is very secure. It just might be it's not going to work on the larger tank?

I have one on an 09 and it fits very snug. There is a picture under the GPS section if that helps.

Are you saying the base doesn't fit tight before you put the bag on? Mine has a base that installs first then the bag to the base.

Thanks to Lisa at Moto-International she found out the Moto-Guzzi has an error on their website because they do not offer the tank bag for the NTX and the one I got was for just the standard stelvio without the large tank.
