Hey all, first time poster here. Am looking forward to utilizing these forums for some great and hopeful research. Purchased my first bike, a 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone and had a question regarding brakes. What would be your best recommendation for pads/fluid for a street only use? Looking for a slightly more aggressive compound than stock. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

When my OEM pads wore thin at ~26,000 mi, I replaced them with EBC sintered pads, FA244HH front and FA256HH rear. I like them, they stop well in all weather conditions, do not make significant noise, and have a good feel. For brake fluid, any DOT 4 rated fluid should be OK. I have used the brand recommended in the user manual, AGP, but also Valvoline.

+1 on the sintered EBC. That's about as good as it gets stock. I've bled them to death and the soft lever feel remains. Of course it all depends on what you have been used to (me mostly sportbikes). But I get by with them on the road.

Peyton, welcome to the GT Forum and Guzzi Famiglia. I see you are in L.A. - so you have easy access to my shop for anything you may need, and my Store tab above.
EBC pads are very good, but very abrasive. I raced on them years ago, and could count on rotor replacement with every set of pads. The offerings I have on my Store are good, and nowhere near as abrasive on the rotors; https://gtmotocycles.com/collections/brakes/model_v7-c-s?sort_by=price-ascending -- hope we meet up soon, or hope I can be of service at my shop. Also, be sure to add your info to the Registry; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/v7-registry-picture-thread-add-your-bike.9108/

Appreciate the response. Thanks for the suggestion. I will at some point definitely have to check out the shop. I will update the registry with my information tomorrow.

What would you suggest as the best option for a slightly more aggressive set of pads that you offer on your webpage? This is my first motorcycle and I generally like to do maintenance myself as I enjoy learning the process. The bike has about 16,500ish miles and I bought it with 13k. Have put about 3500 miles on it in the last year.
