Cracked Cal 14 Exhaust Parts

mine just cracked. i knew it sounded different. right side. going to try and JB weld for this trip and order that cross pipe.

The average here in Québec is only 5400 kilometers. Peaple don't ride much I think I am way over the average with 20k not to mention a guy I know with 51k

15500 or kms .one is cracked on the right side. Now to decide how to fix....modify.....

You can get it welded. I did. Then the other side cracked after about six months. It will break again due to the design. OR, you can buy the "H-Pipe" solution from Todd (look in the "STORE") and be done with it.

I don't see any 2017 with a cracked exhaust, I keep my fingers cross.

Yes I remember lots of posts from guys with early 2014 biked who had cracked pipes - anyone had one on a 2016 or later - I don't recall reading anything. Maybe they reinforced or changed something in the factory (fingers crossed and all that)

Nothing has changed. I imagine 2017+ models will see the same issues in time. I'll put (one or two) products on the shelf until the need is gone. All of my 1400 offerings have been slow sellers... almost not worth the time, effort and $ I've put in.

After reading that the Cali 1400 was going to be discontinued,I became concerned with a future crack. I was going to purchase Todd's H-pipe and some mufflers. After some emails with Todd, I ended up purchasing the full system. I am super pleased with my purchase and after removing the old pipes was glad I did...this is the old H-pipe.the best way to remove the old system is with a sawsall...I highly recommend changing it if you are going to keep your bike.
