1.5 hrs for break-in service on V7 Racer..?

Any first service that does not include a valve clearance check is incomplete: The valve clearances invariably need to be adjusted from new to broken in. On my V7III Racer, the exhausts had tightened up a little and one intake had loosened up a little. Probably not seriously or with any possibility of damaging anything, but the whole point of a first service post-breaking is to adjust these settings after all the engine and other bike bits have had a reasonable amount of running time in actual service.

Another case of "should have done it yourself"! Obviously they know nothing about Guzzi. They didn't set the valves and didn't change the trans (6 speed) oil. Used the wrong fluid in the rear end it calls for 85/140. Didn't check the fasteners and a smart dealer would have changed the plugs too even though I wouldn't have.

If you look at the volume of oil used, it's the correct amount for the gear oil. I think they just called it final drive in the description. The user manual doesn't cal for final drive oil change till 20000km. At least they didn't charge me for work they didn't do.

2 hours of labor. $399 for my first service on my V7 III Special. I'm pretty certain they checked the valves. They put on new head gaskets for some reason. I can upload the work order if anyone is interested.
