Folks, this seems to be a serious and reoccurring problem I have frequently seen and replaced on noted (subject heading) model years... Pic below is of the black plastic (why?! - don't ask) “oil supply tubes” (2B000579 - ex GU19027500) that feed oil to the valve rocker assys. You can see the visible crack. This dumps the oil into the head, and not to the rocker spindle, arms/valves. The bike shown was taken from is a 2016. The older motors have a problematic (superseded) part #, however the newer part # does not fit/work on them - don't ask as to a solution; Not sure what to suggest.

Thanks for the head up. Is there a typical mileage at which you're seeing them fail? Easy to replace?

Bump. Wondering who else has experienced this failure, and about when it's been happening mileage wise. I’m 2000 miles into a replacement engine on my 2016 V7ii, and was planning on keeping it for a good long while, but this has me thinking that it might be time to trade for a 21 V7 when available.

Any high mileage 9-16’s that haven’t had problems with this part?

The last gen V7 engines won't have an issue with parts availability or replacement, and the head gaskets do not need to be replaced (unless of course they leak afterwards, which would be rare). I've seen the gamut of mileage, from low to high with this, so it's hit and miss. Just keep an eye on them once or twice a year (more if you put big miles on). This isn't an instant catastrophic failure issue, just better to catch it sooner than later. Even with the cracks/holes, the rocker pivot will get some oil, not just all as designed.
