So, I did the valve clearance adjustment on my 2019 V7 III today (960 mi on dash). The intakes were 0.03mm and 0.05 mm over and exhaust were both 0.07 mm over ( per workshop manual's intake 0.10 mm and Exhaust 0.15 mm clearance).
What surprised me was the white substance on all the valve springs and I was not able to wipe them off easily. Any idea what these are (or the cause of these)?

Valves are always loose on a Guzzi. Next time at 6000 miles the exhaust will be about 2 thousands and intake right on or 1 loose. Now you convert to metric. (HA!) I've never seen paint on the Guzzi springs but it makes sense if it didn't just wipe off. Forget it exists and go ride.

I would also guess that is paint, but agree with vagrant that I just left them as they are :)
