Loose hose under tank

Just finished removing the canister using the tutorial here. Very nice resource to have.
Getting ready to put the tank back on and found a hose laying under the tank with oily residue at the end. Following it forward it goes up to and around the steering head and is hooked up to a black plastic box of some type. Is this a crank case breather system and what should the loose end be attached to??
I would add a picture but that's beyond my computer skill set

Looking at the parts picture posted, it's hose #12 that is not attached to the air box. I'll have to sort it out before the tank goes back on. Also need to figure out cable and wire routing for adding the Rox risers.
Thanks for the help.

Risers? On a Stelvio?

I know the risers sound weird but I'm 6'4" with short legs and long body and it wasn't comfortable when standing . The seat is uncomfortable enough that I stand up often. I have an appt. with Russell in November to get a seat built so I won't need to stand as much. I'll go for a ride in the morning and see how I like the position
It's not like I put 16" apes on it.:D

If you are short legged the Russel seat may not be the way to go, The wings for the seat stick out enough that they can be in the way to reach the ground.

Oh I was just curious. To each his own.

Case in point…

I find the Stelvio factory saddle (and my California Vintage) to be two of the most comfortable seats I have ever ridden my big fat butt on and I have a Russell on my Ural and a Corbin on my MP3.

Truly, I find the Moto Guzzi seats to be far superior. (I even love the the stock V10 Centauro seat honestly)

My best friend hated his Stelvio saddle and got a very expensive aftermarket (I cannot remember which marque at the moment) but I hate his seat! I think it’s ghastly uncomfortable and butt ugly.

There is no disputing about taste.

I think he’s talking about that he stands on the pegs, like trials type riding, and he finds he has to haunch over to control the bars while surfing the pegs like this.

That breather pipe #12, on my Breva I run that into a separate bottle and blank off the input to the air box. That way I get no oil mist in the box or blocked throttle bodies

Thanks for the input on the hose routing to avoid oil into the air box. I will monitor the Air box for oil. The port on the air box was open so it was able to suck dirty air for 6k miles or forever how long it was off. The remaining hose was not long enough to reach the air box.
This will be my 13th Russell seat and if you do a ride in appt. you can have all the adjustments the way you like it. They are only 4 hours from my home.
