Those of you who live in Socal and are thinking of going up Angeles crest. Tread carefully as the roads have not been cleaned up and there's plenty of large rocks conveniently laying in mid corners. If coming up from San Bernardino, take extra precautions. Coming up from LA is a lot safer.

That's a nasty looking crunch. Did the rider manage to stay upright? Was it you?
Around here 99.9% of the hazards are in the opposite direction, as in man eating potholes.

Angeles Crest has always been like this.

Despite that, you caught a real beauty! I feel your pain.
I should've done my research before heading up there.
Itt really is a sight to behold. Endless turns with amazing scenery.

Yup it was me. Don't know how I managed to stay upright since the rocks were conveniently laying mid-corner.
I'll take a pot hole over loose rocks anytime haha

Glade that you are ok.

Yep, part of that section of HWY 2 is notorious for having rocks on the road. Only rode it once though, with a group of Suzuki Intruders (VS1400, s83) 10 years ago. The scout at front would pointed out rocks for us to avoid and we were at much slower speed of no more than 40 mph when we see rocks on the road.

Thank you.
Yup I was going at a much faster pace that by the time a saw the rocks, which blended very well with the road, I gassed it. My oil pan got a small scrape as well. I'm bummed out but. I am glad I made it out. I'd hate to be stranded out there
