Hello everyone,

I’ve just purchased a 2010 stelvio and I need help choosing the right top case and size. My top priority is pillion comfort, being able to fit a 14” laptop and also aesthetics and the case size not being off. What would be the best size for a stelvio for normal commute. I’d like to get a black aluminum case. I also need support on whether the top case I pick would need anything else to mount it. I’ve attached pictures of the bike’s tail for reference. Reason why it’s difficult for me to find answers alone is because there is no shop where I live, and I will be ordering everything online. Thank you for your help!

Best,
Philip

Hello Philip. Welcome.

Congratulations on your Stelvio purchase!

They are truly wonderful motorcycles and I have enjoyed mine immensely since new in 2012.

I don't have a top case on my Stelvio as I generally hate them for the most part, but I understand what you are trying to do and I do have one on my Piaggio X9 scooter and my Moto Guzzi California Vintage. The though of putting something heavy at the furthest point on the motorcycle and that this weight is past the point of the rear axle, never sat well with me from an aerodynamics and handling perspective.

Unfortunately your options are going to be rather limited 12 years from manufacture date. I do have a suggestion though.

I personally have a Givi top case on my X9. I have installed several Givi topcases on various motorcycles in my workshop. I think Givi makes an exceptional quality product. Fit and finish are excellent and they have been very durable.

Hepco Becker also makes high quality equipment but compared to Givi, it is very expensive. Think $$$$$ but you do get what you pay for. Todd here (GTM) is a distributor for both I think. Did you check the STORE tab above? Unfortunately, being in Lebanon, also puts a damper on things due to shipping charges to the Mediterranean. You will probably do better to get something from mainland Europe.

You can also use the CONTACT feature at the top of the page in the STORE and you can ask Todd what he has available and pricing.

Just for information, you have the stock rear rail so you could get the Traxx aluminum top case but you will need the mounting plate as well. The name is SW-Motech Trax Adv 38 L Aluminum top case. (~ $375 USD or about 572,000 LBP online). There is also an available backrest too (~ $70 USD online, about 107,000 LBP).

Good Luck!
