Hey guys,

Any idea what parts, gaskets, tools and supplies I'll need for an engine swap? Just trying to make sure there's nothing I've overlooked.

Thank you,

If you're doing a complete engine swap, no gaskets or supplies required, just the replacement engine.

And yes, you will need a heap of tools.

Is there no gasket where the engine mates to the transmission? I couldn't find one of a parts diagram.

I guess I should have said *special* tools.

You’ve suffered a 2013 engine failure of such a magnitude that it requires an engine swap? Wow. There’s more to the story here I’m sure.

Safe to assume he means the clutch push-rod bearing... I've replaced dozens of those due to improper adjustment (mostly).

Just an update that my dad and I swapped the engine over the weekend. The engine was 1200 CAD off of eBay shipped. Total working time was 16 hours. We had to detach the tranny from the frame in order to gain clearance from the frame in the front. No special tools were needed nor were any parts or gaskets. The neutral position sensor pulled out of its socket and we had to drill a hole through the battery box to get it back in rather than pull the airbox. Everything works!
