The new DNA drop filter design (below) flows 52.7% more air over the stock paper filter combined with our hold-down ring.

How is the DNA filter fitment compared to OEM?
The sprint filter has a much smaller gasket ring compared to oem

I currently have the K&N you sell on my 2013 v7iii. Additionally I have your 2 in 1 exhaust. I'm using the mapping you provided. Just wondering if the DNA filter for the v7iii buys me anything - at least $99 worth :)

How significant of a difference in performance would one expect between the DNA w/ custom ring vs. a K&N filter in the stock airbox?

I hope to document it with next customer I have that wants the DNA and open lid. Seat of pants and AFR data shows a noticeable gain.

I'd love to report back, but due to some unforeseen circumstances I only JUST received my filter and snow is in the forecast here... (by the way thanks again Todd for helping me with that license plate bracket supplier situation :)). Plus I'm in Canada so nowhere close to GTM's dyno :D

Do these filters require filter oil? Good looking filter and I'm sure it has better flow. I have just always had problems with oiled filters on my stuff..

Yes, oiled-gauze media.
Ok, I guess my next question is do these bikes have anything between the filter and intake manifolds that can get gummed up by oiled filters? I've always have had an issues with maf sensors but I don't see any on this bike..

Anyone run the DNA filter with the hold down ring in the rain? Im thinking of going for this set up. But the fact that I live in Vancouver, where we get 8 months of rain. I am a bit weary of getting raid of the air box cover and having the filter exposed.

I am running an exposed filter with a short ram intake on my car. But it is fairly well protected from water. Just not sure how protected is the filter on the V7

Thanks for any feedback

Given that the air filter is under the seat I think very well protected. I have a V7 III and I'm in Comox (Howdy Neighbor). Whenever I take the seat off, the stock filter cover is always very, very clean. Just a smidge of dust, so I do not think any water gets up in there.
