I was watching some review about the Polestar 2 Electric car - and not having any Engine / Exhaust sound to accompany the Rush - just wouldn't be the same...

A Fast but Anonymous whoosh !
Maybe we can get some plastic playing cards to poke in the wheels ?

( Yes - I am repeating myself - but I like it  )

Hmmm... Have you heard the new Porsche Taycan yet? Very Star Trek.

Yes. I wanted to share the amount of effort put into the German cars.

I’ll be moving these posts.

Ok - it makes more than just a Whooshing noise
It Sounds kind of Spacy / Science fiction-e which is I guess where we are...

( I’m certainly ok with these posts going to the Real or Thread Dumpster... )

You don't even have to be inside it to hear all the noises it makes.
Where I work I can actually hear them rolling up all the time

I drove a 2021 plug-in hybrid BMW X3 loaner. On electric power it was basically sound free other than the tire noise. In reverse it had the same sound as Toyota hybrids. My neighbour (sales manager of Toyota Canada) calls it singing angels. It's not annoying like the beep, beep, beep of construction vehicles and warns people something is sneaking up on them.

I absolutely hate electric cars and motorcycles. Yuck! I thought the Zero motorcycle was the worst thing I have ever thrown my leg over. Like a cold dead fish. Nothing resembling a motorcycle at all to me.

All electric cars are Toyota Prius in various shapes to me. Yes, the Tesla is fast, but it leaves me numb and bored.

Electric Porsche? Gross. No thanks. Give me a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS any day and twice on track day. That's a real sportscar to me!

You all can have my share of that electric vehicle stuff. It bores me to death. I'll stick to mechanical engines. The more mechanical, the more I love them!

I have an electric push bike (Magnum Metro+, 8 speed) . I purchased it after I broke my ankle and unable to walk any significant distance without pain. I already had a 21 speed push bike, but could not deal with gear changing, especially when I get caught in the wrong gear going up a hill.

The electric push bike is good exercise. I run it in a pedal assist mode, where some input from me is required to get up the hills. Yesterday I rode 40 kilometres, lots of hills, and still had a tiny bit left in the battery when I got home. I try to get out every day, weather permitting.

On level roads, the acceleration is exhilarating. There are better and faster ones out there, but I wanted to stay in a budget.
