Our annual (more or less) not a rally type event in Death Valley National Park. As of this writing there are both cabins and standard motel rooms available for both nights at Furnace Creek Ranch. The preference is usually to book the cabins until they run out, then get motel rooms. Motel rooms are nicer, but you can park your bikes right beside the cabins and they are more conducive to hanging out together. Probable and always optional activities include Sat morn sunrise ride to Dante's View (about as fabulous a view as there is IMHO) and lunch at Pastel's Bistro in Tecopa Hot Springs-cash required. Zabriskie Point will be closed. Looks like Trona-Wildrose Rd (but not lower Wildrose) is open this year, but some gravel. Hwy 190 is the better route in to the park from the west/LA. Always best to check road conditions at the Death Valley Park morning report a few days in advance, doesn't take much to make a mess and cause road closures.

This is Glenn Morgan's party, and here is the Facebook page he set up for the event:

Some of us are meeting at the Roxford/I5 Chevron, departing for DV Friday 9:30 AM sharp, If you want to join us, post here so we know to expect you.

Sorry I wasn't able to join you this year - I rode from Las Vegas to Dallas over the weekend, and will be riding the Texas Hill Country next weekend before I head home. There's an off chance I may go to LA for Bite the Weenie the following week, but that's still up in the air.
