I got hold of a Norge seat IMHO it is a far better seat for me it is firmer, flatter and looks heap better not having that "Pizza Puff edge" between your legs and the tank, the sport seat is to soft you sink into it over a short time causing your butt to get hot and uncomfortable.
This only is...
Stevo
Yeah have been looking at a MTB seat dropper post lever and cable, that's the easy end but down at the throttle body will prove to be more difficult.
Kev,
It is a 2010 model and there are no error codes on the dash indicating a oil temp sensor fault, that's if one is fitted ?
Being Guzzi's fascination with over complicating electronic gizmo and not being very successful at it , just look at start us interubtus and, before Todd's ECU...
G'day Scottmastrocinque,
I do enjoy reading your positive and very in formative post and most recently I followed yours's and others advice on how to clean the stepper motor and balance the throttle bodies with great success.
Just a bit of history on my bike.
I have not done any servicing...
Cheers John
Yeah mate done that with the motor running. Have blocked off air supply to the stepper and I only have to monitor and alter the engine RPM for a short time till things run smoothly.
My old 1997 1100 FI Sport had a fast idle lever on the left side handle bar, to start you would move the lever like an old style choke hit start then once the engine is running alter engine speed. Don't know why Guzzi didn't stick to this oh so simple idea.
Was just wondering has anyone adapted...
Hey Dragonknee
Just chasing some information on the Mana bar swap.
Did you find much of a positive difference between the standard bars and the Mana's, I find the reach and width a bit much and after about 120 miles I get pins and needles in my left arm.
Also was the swap relatively easy with...
Congrats Todd on this amazing achievement and as I have said before if you want a break give me a call and come spend some time in the stunning southwest of Western Australia, the worlds premium wine region once the bug has run it's course.
Hey maybe when Guzzi goes ELECTRIC they might get the...
Here is a shot of my connector, low beam not working so pulled head light and found the crimp had not been crimped correctly from factory overheated and melted the plastic. Lasted 11 years, fixed using a single insulated crimp.
Anyone know the part number for the loom ?
Hey Todd what's the chance of stepped header pipes to a normal collection "Y" for 2010 8V 1200 Sport ? with 1 O2 running Zard muffler ? or is the above system only built for the X pipe
Cheers

I am under the understanding that if a battery shows fully charged while using a volt meter but drops to 8.7v, indicated on the volt meter, during start up that this is a sure indicator that the battery has dropped a cell or stuffed.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
G'day Mate,
Yep I'm down Karridale way.
2010 Sport purchaced 2013 still trying to get fueling right, now about to start the rollerisation recall saga :sweating:.
Enjoy
G'day All,
Well I finally got around to installing the suspension kit that I purchased off Izzy, at Suspensions R Us in Seaford Victoria Australia, about 2 1/2 years ago, also the K & L Lift previously best thing motorbike money can be spent on. The kit comprises of Matris Fork Cartridge Kit...
G'day
I too was having a problem with my throttle catching on my 1200 8V Sport, to the extent that is was an el- cheapo cruise control.
Didn't want to pull tank and I had some genuine Guzzi heated grips fitted a fair while ago.
So as they say "A picture tells a thousand words".
Remove bar end...
Cheers for that Todd mine never comes on. The power light is solid green and the Autotune does its normal blink green for 60 seconds then solid green.
Could this be a fault with installation or worse case a failed unit.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks Steve
