I bought a new-old-stock B044414 TPS from eBay and replaced it myself. It wasn't that difficult, I was very careful to not damage any cables and took lot's of photos during removal which made it much easier to re-install. The most difficult part was removing and re-installing the two throttle...
Awesome looking bike! good to hear your problem seems to be solved. I replaced my TPS last summer and so far so good.
By the way, we lived in St Louis city back in the 90's in the Shaw neighborhood near Tower Grove Park. It was a great time but after all the drive by shootings and multiple...
Let me know what the dealer says is causing it.
I read the fault code (P0155) and verified that the TGPS reading for the C-D track was out of range. The service manual says that means the TPS is bad.
It does look like that's how it works. I did try releasing the lever and then moving it up & down, but it didn't move and I'm afraid to apply too much force and breaking it.
Can someone recommend a good Guzzi mechanic in the Phoenix Area (east Valley) that knows 1400' 8V's ?
I need someone to diagnose the cause of my "SERVICE URGENT" error message and tell me how to fix it. I read P0155 (= Throttle Grip Position Redundancy tracks C-D inconsistent signal).
I still haven't figured out the cause of the "SERVICE URGENT" error code. It had been intermittent, only appearing every few months.
Lately there is a definite pattern.
1). After starting the bike to go to work it shows "SERVICE URGENT", red light flashing and in limp mode.
2). turn off the...
Thanks for the tip. Since there is no longer a Guzzi dealer in the Phoenix area I was thinking about taking it up to Prescott if this problem persists.
Yes, I've thought that it could also be a fluke. I first got the "service urgent" warning in May on and off for a few weeks, then didn't see it again until a few weeks ago and it's happening intermittently.
The "service urgent" warning only appears when tuning the ignition on. It's never...
Since my last post the error went away and didn't reappear until a few weeks ago. I get the "URGENT SERVICE" warning with flashing red light and sometimes just "SERVICE" with steady red light. It will go usually away after tuning the ignition on/off a few times and the bike runs great.
I read...
