Good spotting, I forgot but you are correct, had to trim around the brake reservoir.
Can't say for sure about the turn signals as I planned all along to get something neater and more cafe-ish.

Wind noise was okay, seemed more an issue of the helmet than the fairing. The airflow was clean, that made a huge difference.
This one worked fabulously - nothing but clean air behind. But I think there are about a thousand variables that affect each install, so you just have to try it.
Took mine off the day I bought it, dug it out of storage the day I sold it. Like the solo look for around town, like the room to move around with the regular seat for touring.

So, the reality is somewhat mundane, but it might give you some ideas. Those are stock metal and plastic parts "wrapped" in 3M vinyl wrap. I had some left over "carbon fiber" look vinyl pieces and wondered what it might look like to wrap some...
Plug and play for the most part. You plug in to the existing headlight plug and you have to run a wire direct to the battery. You do have to mount the ballast and route/attach several wires, so there is some fabbing and poking around a bit. Removing the tank would greatly simplify all that.

I used this same setup on my old CBX, worked beautifully.
I put an HID in my 2013 V7 Racer. My first attempt was a simple swap but I didn't care for the beam pattern with the stock headlight. So I also swapped the headlight with a Cibie unit.
Very happy with the result. See and be seen, that is the goal.
