There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. This is NOT a social media platform; It's an ad-free, privately funded website, in small help with user donations. Be sure to see the GTM STORE link above; ALL product purchases help support the site, or you can upgrade your Forum profile or DONATE via the link above.
In motorcycle school. We did emergency stops from 40-0mph and in the sequence of pulling in both levers and applying the rear brake, getting the ABS to engage. We were also told to shift down through the gears to get into first. This is important to learn incase a car behind you might not stop...
I like to grab some paper towels from the windshield cleaner station and wrap that around the tank opening, surrounding the gas nozzle to mitigate any splashing on the paint.
You can cut the whole front side of the airbox to allow maximum air to the filter. Do a search and you'll see 2 different methods of cutting the airbox. Again, you'll need to get a new map installed. But for zero dollars, it's a good mod to do. Your bike will be happier.
Not sure. But an alternative would be to pop the pins out of the stock connectors and stock turns. Then buy the connector of your choice and build the connectors on the new and stock turns as well as harness. JWPF series connectors are great.
If they're adjusting the clutch at the transmission side. There is very little to no tolerance there. My v7II was adjusted that way early in it's life and ended up getting a engine replaced under warranty. There's a thread here about those who were affected...
My experience is pretty much the same as Trout.
I described riding the Thruxton as being lifeless. Yes, it's good at everything it does. It's real smooth. But I didn't get any attitude from it. Not like the Guzzi.
I ride with a Triumph group and we blocked all lanes on Pacific Coast Hwy...
I miss that stretch of hwy! I did it monthly. Start in Surrey taking the 1 and go through to Kelowna up to Vernon for the night and then up to Kamloops and back into Surrey. Catch the ferry to BC Island and go from Victoria up to Campbell River back down to Nanaimo and then down to Seattle to...
damn I hadn't checked in, in a while and this came up quick on me. I won't be able to make this weekend.
It's not 2 hours early in the morning and even shorter when you're on your bike. Ride!
