Hey... Todd showed me your post... been friends with him for many years.
I am a life-long Guzzi rider here in Las Vegas... taking my Guzzi to him at the end of Sept. for some work...not riding until then but definitely can hookup after that.
Email-crumpta@msn.com -- On Facebook at-Timothy Crump...
Just wondering if there are any Las Vegas Guzzi riders who frequent the forums....I've been here 36 years and we have gone from nothing to monthly meets and back to nothing....the Guzzi guys that used to be here have all moved on so I occasionally ride with some other old guys who all ride...
Just curious....seen some comments elsewhere that the Griso oil pumps are prone to failure, but don't see any threads here (where I trust the input more) about that....anyone have a problem with their bike??
I know I have to save up for the tappet upgrade, but I'd like to know if I need to...
My Centauro did that....broke the tach ground internally when I was "dual-sporting" on a section of dirt washboard....mine blew the computer as well.......did it a second time trying to jump start it from a tow truck.......I found out that several Ducatis use the same computer and as they wad...
Recently saw 137 on the Griso (8V SE) speedo....at 7500 rpm....flat road, no wind.....didn't go back the other way to average....good enough for me.....
Mine is a Todd Special....
My '69 Ambo....got it in 1992 in running condition with a trailer for $500....sold the trailer to a Gold Wing ridiing friend for $100....the Ambo just needed a tune-up....has always run well......
The Guzzi police bikes were in several movies around that time, because Hollywood was able to buy fleets of them that the PD's were getting rid of....cheaper than HD's, especially if they were getting trashed....
So glad you brought your "ramblings" to the forum...the Guzzi community prides itself on being like a big Italian family.....we might argue, but ultimately, we stay tight.
A good friend up in Utah, became a the owner of an EV some years back, but kept his Harley, which had been his only bike...
Just a heads up ....I have a 2000 Jackal....while on my ride last Sunday, I stopped to fluff up my butt, and was looking things over. I noticed the fuel hose to the right cylinder, just aft of the splitter, was resting on the block-off plate on the distributor casting. There was some...
Got my first Eldo in '72....the hot ticket then for serious road riding was the Belstaff/Barbour jackets, and an International Orange, open face Bell, with a matching Visor-Vu.....unfortunately the Visor-Vu went away, and no one has made them.....I'd wear one now, if I could find one...
Should have posted this sooner......but some of you might still want to participate....

Basically a "photo rally".....there's a list of stuff to take photos of for points....
No cost, no prizes, no structure......just an excuse to ride...
Just a possibility...
My Jackal exhaust header vibrates at certain rpm, mostly on closed throttle, and touches the engine mount bolt, making a noise much like yours...with the motor off, the space between them seems adequate......
so...it could be some part of the exhaust that is just very...
Love the histories!!!
I'm a hardcore Guzzi fan....among a few other bikes, I've had 7 Guzzi's.....still have #3 and #6....hoping to add a Griso soon.
I started on the usual little Japanese bikes in the 60's....after high school I got a 120cc Suzuki single......but I was bitten by the travel...
If you haven't gone already...or for future reference....when you get to Boulder Creek, heading North....take a left on 236, Big Basin Way. I wanders through the redwoods to the State Park, and goes right through - just keep going past the ranger station/parking area. It will connect you back...

I have no idea if the photo willl work, but I bought a 32 Ford replica light with license bracket for about $50....moved the turn signals to the frame, where the bungee bolts are, replacing them with bullet style....The change only required...
Picked up a new battery.....at BatteryPlus....I tried the dealership, but they are really a Victory dealership, only just recently getting Guzzis. They couldn't even find "Jackal" in their computer...
Going to put it in now.....test it on Sunday....
