I'll have to dig it up, but I should have something. Basically used strip of aluminum about 2mm thick and bent it into shape I needed so that I can bolt it to the frame and mount light to it. It took some creativity and twisting on the strip to add rigidity. Regular bulb was burning out in...
Couple weeks ago I was riding with few friends in smaller mountain/hills in western IL...we were on this fun road leading up to a small ski resort. The road is two-way but really narrow, no center line, and it goes up and down/left and right while steadily climbing overall mountain. We were...
Meh. So is it the machine or the people at the dealership causing his frustration?
I'll disagree, machines do have souls, you just have to connect with them in a right way and you'll discover this too.
I have had no issues whatsoever with my '13 Racer. Yes, on occasion will be cold-blooded...

You'll pay for 25 bolts what dealer will charge you for one or two. You'll probably end up ordering a whole bunch of other stuff, too.
Very interesting. I love the battery placement - would like to see better pics of how they mounted it.
Two things I don't get is why section off the exhaust headers like that...and the sharp angle out of the head doesn't help performance, I'm sure. Also, cast wheels on a scrambler are kinda...
Small world...yep. I actually wanted that 369 just for the number alone, but missed it by a day or two. Weathertech guy snatched it. The dealer was super cool in my eyes...simple transaction. Their service guy in the back is independent of the sales and is really nice guy that knows these...
Properly powder coated finish will be stronger than paint. Anodizing, IMO, is used for parts that have close tolerances...for example threaded parts. Powder-coating those would require that threads are masked off.
I can't think why there would be a specialist "motorcycle" powdercoater....as...
There was a guy who posted last year that he too disconnected both lambdas and had no issues. In fact he claimed the bike ran much better, he had better mileage and his plugs looked much better...I'll try to find his post. I keep saying this, but I need to put my wideband O2 logger on it and...
Here's couple other pics of the brackets made...
One from behind...
And a bonus boredom item...in true Colin's spirit...or as I like to say it, every ounce counts.
It has been a tough winter...and not over yet, apparently. We'll take any warmth you can send...or heated gear :P
Don't think I gave you my info...will try to remember to grab my VIN next time.
It's 28-29*F but dry and roads are clear of salt, so I took it out...also just finished rear bumper delete over the weekend. I made my own brackets and re-used original tail light and turn signals. Overall cost <$10 and a casual Saturday...need to make new mud guard/storage under the seat...
Welcome to all the new gals and guys!
Here are some pictures from first service performed few weeks ago...
Pop the VC..
Re-torque heads..
Find TDC...
Adjust the valves...not too tight!
Bolt it all back up, sit and enjoy the view...at least until I can ride it - waay too much snow...
