I have been using Pilot Roads on my Triumph Sprint for years. I went down to the cords on the stock Metzler as well... that was a shocker, and went for a Pilot Road rear on the Norge. Put about 1000 miles on it & promptly collected a nail. :roll:

I got a set of these recently from Todd (thanks man, pleasure doing business with you!).
I installed them the other day, and since we're still in the deep freeze I haven't had a chance to try them out yet... but I gotta say it's like vacuum sealed when you go to open the side case! I think they...
this happened to me....
turned out my side stand had gotten just a tiny bit loose and the gear lever rubbed against it on downshift.
it was a head-scratcher.... as when I was looking to see why the lever didn't function I had the side stand down.

anyway, mine came loose too.
I found I had to pull the header off on the left side to get at the bolt. i thought it was gone, but it was just loose.
red Loctite and it seems to have been good so far!
do you hang with any of the New England Guzzi...
Re: brake rotor ?
decided to give this a try on the weekend after the Piaggio rep said "rotors are a wear item" and warranty wouldn't be happening.
It's ok, I have 11,000 odd miles on the bike, and while the Sprint with 50,000 miles has never had a brake issue, the Norge hasn't cost me...
