Ok, I re-routed the clutch cable and it seems to be working fine now. Just needs a bit of minor adjustments. I have not re-routed the throttle cable yet and not sure i need to as it seems to be OK. Thanks guys!
John,
Do you think it is because i don't have enough slack? If i loosen the adjuster at the clutch lever end the clutch does not catch until the lever is way out, even when the wheel is straight. When i tighten it, the clutch lever is catches quicker in all positions except when the wheel is...
I recently installed a set of risers on my Breva 750, which moved the handlebars up and back towards the rider. However, now, it appears whenever i crank the wheel all the way over to the right, [during a slow start] the clutch does not want to catch and the rpm's increase. I can let the...
John,
Last Thursday I made a trip to Gainesville to have Stan and his mechanic Dan work on my Breva. Thanks for the referral. Stan is a real character and Dan, with Stan's guidance did a great job on my bike. Best of all, i got to stand around and watch plus ogle the vintage BMW's and Guzzis...
I have been doing most of routine maintenance myself as i learn more about my Breva but was wondering if there are any real good Guzzi mechanics in Florida?
Just saw your post so my reply may be after the fact. Did you buy the Breva? I have a 07' Breva 750 which i bought with 2000 miles on it and now have 11,000. Fantastic bike which has proven to be bullet proof. Since i do not live close to any dealer i have learned to do all the maintencae...
Ok thanks for the clarification.....it was late and the vino had taken affect. Will let you guys know how this works out..thanks again! ;)
Ok update....took at look at the switch and not quite sure if there is a right way or wrong way to remove it or disassemble it? Is there a schematic or...
Ok checked the fuses and the fuse was blown and when i replaced it all systems worked until i blew the horn then the fuse blew again. When flashing the lights the fuse did not blow...strange because yesterday when this happened, it happened when i flashed the lights? I did replace the horn a...
Was riding my Breva 750 home this evening and flashed my headlights at a car that was thinking of pulling out in front of me and all of a sudden all gauges, lights, horn etc when out. The bike kept running with no problem. I haven't looked at anything yet, but I am assuming I blew a fuse or...
i have to stop looking at posts like this.... ;) They ruin my day as all i want to do is scan the internet for similar bikes. Congratulations on a super looking and i am certain a great running bike.
That's good news, even though I AM on the east coast, I have to make a road trip to the guys in Miami so a change of scenery heading across state may be in order. Will be real interested in your post after a service visit.
No reason to regret your purchase....the Breva 750 is a great bike. Bullet proof, easy to ride, quick, stable at speed, great looking and easy to work on, if you feel so inclined. Almost 5000 miles on my 07' Breva which i bought in July and not one issue. My truck hardly gets used....Not sure...
