Just daydreaming here, but anyone know what it would take to graft a Stelvio fuel gauge on a Griso? Possible/impossible/worthwhile? I think it's a minor crime that a great bike like the G doesn't have a fuel gauge, and from what I recall, the Stelvio dash is pretty similar, so... ?
Maybe I'm not the best person to weigh in on this, as I'm only on my first Guzzi. But my advice is to buy whatever turns you on.... and keep the Guzzi if possible. The few diehard Guzzisti I've met own multiple brands of bikes, because at heart, we're just bike freaks. Go for it, man!
I met two other Guzzisti at the Rock Store that afternoon: an 07 LeMans and a Tenni green Griso. The Griso owner lives in Malibu; I gave him your website address and suggested he look you up for service.
Was rolling with my hooligan sport biker group through the Malibu canyons on Saturday morning when I saw a silver? white? Cali 14 heading up Piuma Road. Was wondering if it was Todd or someone headed to Todd's? I was on the black Griso.
I'd have to say that at the very top of my dream bike list... ahead of the Cali Touring... is a Mission electric sportbike, in the limited edition RS setup.
Yes, it is very simple to install, just remove the caliper bolts, position the guard, then replace the bolts. Be very careful, though, not to pinch the speedo sensor wire under the guard!
Well, that was a really fun day! Great talking to you, Mike, and sorry I missed you Mike, lol! That is, great talking to you, mohawkeye, that's a fine Stelvio you've got there. And stmike, I saw your beautiful Laverda, but it was nearly upstaged by that Moto Morini 500 you were parked next...
Of course, I'm talking about the 34th annual Hansen Dam All Brit ride. This will be my first time at this ride, and I was hoping to catch up with some of you to ride together. Anyone going?
Nice vid, Grisoman, thanks for posting it. You had a BUNCH of cams on your bike, eh? LOL.
Yes, my G makes me smile everytime I ride it. In fact, I smile just thinking about it. It's a great bike.
Don't know much about it, but my Google Fu tells me the Hansen Dam ride is for Brit bikes. Can someone fill me in... is there a plan to send a flight of Geese over there?
"Hauled in a herd of Hogs"...! That was funny! We were rolling up Pacific Coast Highway at a reasonable speed, not sure why they were "hogging" the fast lane at such a slow speed. Guess their Vs prefer a more sedate pace? But we were barely above the limit, so they were definitely...
