Please could someone enlighten me as to why the inner and outer plugs on the Griso are different heat ranges?
I know the inner ones are the longer life platinum ones, but i've not idea why they are 2 heat ranges apart? I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable on twin plugged engines can...

Unfortunately my CARC has developed a leak which I've tracked down to a cracked hub. Its cracked from one of bolt holes to the inside of the large 110mm seal.
Does anyone know if its possible to remove this part...or do I need to replace it as part of an assembly?

The ground checked out OK and the Fault code disappeared.... but I have managed to get her running again!!!!! :D :D :D
With your help I managed to determine that the ECU was the likely culprit... just to be sure it wasn't...

I have previously tried swapping the coils with no luck.

Ghezzi: The only fault code I get is "P0352 Ignition Coil B Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction" ... but I am thinking this maybe a symptom rather than the cause as I know I am getting a spark.

Has anyone measured the actual rear suspension travel on there Griso. The manual says its 110mm but I can only get 75mm actual travel out of the back wheel before the shock is hard up against the rubber bump stop. Could be my measuring is bad... :oops:

The max (base) ignition advance is 47 degrees @8200rpm 12-19 degrees throttle...but as they say a picture is worth a thousand words so hopefully this will give you a much better idea, hope this helps:

I wasn't thinking about oil starvation issues on first startup but more along the lines of making sure there is no air trapped in the cooler, as both the inlet and outlet to the oil cooler are on the bottom and I cant see how all the air would escape.

When replacing the oil cooler is there any procedure I need to follow to bleed out air from the system as you would a radiator. I've looked in the workshop manual but it only has the removal procedure shown... and no install procedure.

Or put another way does anybody know what the frequency of the signal should be from the sensor per rpm.
