I have had my Moto Guzzi Custom for over a year now.
I have been in the motorcycle industry for over 10 years at aBMW , Triumph and Ducati dealership in Califorinia.
I have had only two Guzzi’s over the years out of approximately 30 bikes.
But always had a love affair with the brand. And...
Just did a day of two up riding, with minor adjustments on the new Penskes , they gave excellent compliant ride and no body roll in the turns. The feel i was looking for when riding 2 UP. If they work this good on the Custom I gotta feel the Touring Ca. would benefit greatly.

Just put a set of these 8983's on, and did 2nd test run, set sag at 1" , 8 clicks out from full soft and added 2 clicks of rebound.
And added 3 quarter turns of ride height adjustment to each side.
Bike feels level with a very nice turn in, with no front end pushing.
Firm ride but compliant...

Forks work for the most pretty well …just hit some bumps sharply .
Yup it moans, sounds like whales mating…kind of :D
after a ride seems like pressure builds in the gas tank and I guess bleeds through a relief in the gas cap….so I'm told.
open up gas cap and you hear a pressure relief and the whales stop singing, may have to crack the cap 3 or so times...

Did You install the cans yourself, was taking off the OEM a wresting match or not much trouble.
I too would like more info on the Guzzi lazy mapping if tha'st the case.
