    yes, you're probably right, i'm just stumped why the software will not let me reset it. the bikes rides absolutely fine, i just have to check the mpg to see what it is like now.

    ok, here's an update. I open and closed the throttle when the engine was off, the TPS responded normally, no lags, or skips I configured Centurion so that it displays Alfalin_0 - tried the TPS reset - it would still give me a "FAIL" until I opened the throttle very slightly, then I would get...

    i am not corncered about the TPS number, the problem is the TPS reset procedure keeps failing unless I do it with the throttle slightly open.

    you click on the 'active settings' button (screwdriver symbol), and choose TPS, answer yes to the confirmation question, it then counts down from 10 and (hopefully) says "PASS".

    Oh, that doesnt sound good. I didn't think Honda rusted that much. I only had the 700 Transalp for about two months as i couldn't get used to the riding position (pegs too high, bars too far away) and the hard suspension compared to my 1990 600cc Transalp.

    I feel the same way, one of the main reasons I got a V7 was the looks and the fact there are not many in the UK. I had a Transalp 700 but it just wasn't very pleasant to look at!
