    2024 V85TT Updates - 3 variants offered

Not sure how I was too stupid to find that. I kept finding the v7 and v9. Anyway both 19" fronts. Whe I get there you can go take mine for a good ride and see if you like it set up that way. It only takes 1/2 hour and three fingers of hootch to do.

    2024 V85TT Updates - 3 variants offered

Who knows. They don't even have a V85 brochure on their website. But, Yes, they would just need to re-calibrate the ABS. My front has the forks raised 1" (about the equivalent of a 17" front) and I think it handles better than stock.

2001 cali stone fuel pump not engaging

Replace the relay with a known good one. I use 5 prong ones in each hole so I can rotate each one forward one notch when there is an issue like this.

    Gonna try it...

Only you can answer that. That said, I have it's twin and have put 27000 miles on it. it's almost broken in.

    How-to turned health woes...

This is one shot you shouldn't procrastinate on. After seeing what shingles does I'd pay out of pocket if over 40. JMHO.

    Oh No - Not Tires

First, think about safety. I use a small portable space heater with the tire leaned up against it. Then make a tent over it with something and drink a beer while it heats up but don't leave it alone. Fire, melted tire etc.

Review of Reviews / Critiques of the Criticism

I hope I run into you at TWO. I have as yet to see or sit on one. I suspect it will be too tall for my 28" legs. My 22 V85 is lowered an inch and it's just tolerable, but I absolutely love it.

    Oh No - Not Tires

FYI, there are Michlein rebates until the end of the month and Bridgestone until the end of June. William you have $70. coming.

Weird tire wear pattern - anybody want to read the tea leaves?

I agree with the above, but, with the proper pressure touch those bulges with your finger. If soft you have air between the tire carcass and the rubber. If so, don't ride it. The manufacture will warranty it if it's worth your effort. I had that happen on a front Conti RA III with 10000 miles on...

Idle up a bit after V7 850 valve adjustment

No, your book doesn't show that. It shows .10 of a millimeter or 4 thousands for intake and .15 MM or 6 thousands for exhaust! In addition, anytime you have to move a valve setting more than a tiny amount (.002) you are doing something very wrong!

    Future California model?

Frank Wedge once defined the 98 EV as a power cruiser! It would pass virtually every other cruiser type in a curve without dragging hard parts. That's what I want.

Thoughts about the V100 after one year

"OEM tire when it started to go off after about 9000 miles." How the hell did you get 9000 miles on a stock tire.

    V85TT Police Models

Oh no! Bill's going to have to get a blue & white one now.

    Future California model?

Screw the normal cruiser market. There are plenty of overgrown, gargantuan bikes. Give us a 550# wet modern Ev.

Tesla Autopilot Crashes into and kills two Motorcycle Riders

We are at a time frame where cars have auto on headlights, windshield wipers, heaters, etc because people are too dumb to figure out old fashioned controls. Yet somebody thinks they will be smart enough to turn off the traction control! Now Tesla is giving away auto driving software.

Tesla Autopilot Crashes into and kills two Motorcycle Riders

I never thought about snow and ice driving. I wonder how it responds to a skid that you then try to control.

    Worthless V100 tire thread

You best be sitting down when you price tires now. Worse yet there's no inventory. A Road smart 3 I paid $120 for last August is $167 now!
