    V7 engine ticking

howdy all. I have a 2014 racer. 8k Miles. I’ve had for 4K. Lately I’ve heard a steady tick tick tick tick coming from what seems to be the top of the heads. Ticking doesn’t change rate at different speeds. Stays constant. Not super loud, but not non-existent either. I say “lately”, but...

    V7 Racer Hand Guards?

Thanks bill for the offer, and thanks John for the suggestion. I'm just not a fan of those clunky things. I'll keep on the layered gloves until I find a wind guard option. And Fort Drum winter is right around the corner. It was 31 degrees last night. 47 when I put bike away for the evening.

    V7 Racer Hand Guards?

I live in the second coldest town in the lower 48 States. So warm riding season is only 2 months. 4 months are very cold and the other 6 are obviously not rideable. Looking for hand guard options for the 4 chilly months? Anybody know of anything that might work with the Racer's clip-ons?

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

one more pic of another recent purchase (much to the wife's chagrin :wasntme:). A cheap "saddlebag" option for Guzzi to hold warmer gloves, clear visor for goggles for nighttime, a few tools, etc... I just went with a $30 Harley Fork Bag and fitted it to the side. 8" width bag with only 3"...

    Rally in the Adirondacks...

and apologies for the lewd illustration on this image, but it's just how this road makes me feel. It's only a mile from the Rally and has to be one of the best roads in NY State. Not incredibly scenic, but the rhythm of the turns and the cambers is oh so awesome!

    Rally in the Adirondacks...

Every day the weather forecast up here has said rain and it's been tiny pockets and otherwise partly sunny skies! Right now, Accuweather says no rain friday and saturday with only a scattered T-storm on sunday. Should be fine!

    A Tire Thread

Hey Chokoloso. They are a 80/20 road to dirt tread. So that said they handle quite well. I do have to travel on gravel and fire roads up here, but the majority of my rural daily route is 22 miles on beautifully paved single lane twisties and they are great. Word is the rear gets about 6-8k...

First 5 miles were just a shock. Actually the very first turn out onto the road was a doozy, but kept it upright. I've done about 100 miles since and, like you, and very happy with their feel now. I really like them a lot and they get me to my friends houses on remote packed roads with confidence.

    A Tire Thread

I just didn't realize how different it would feel. Wanted to mention that to anyone considering a 80/20 dual sport tire. I've adjusted and feel more confident on these now compared to the Sport Demons, but there's an initial learning curve. My reason is my location. I live in a 6 million acre...

First five miles on Shinko 705's was a tad hair raising. Just tilt your eyeballs and the bike wants to fall in to a corner. After 20 miles I'm adjusting to it though. I like, but didn't expect such a drastic different feel than Sport Demons.

    A Tire Thread

Ordered them and arrived. My buddy is swapping next Thursday. With only 4,800 miles on the existing tires, do I need new tubes? With that minor size change up front do I need at least a new front tube?

    A Tire Thread

So what brand are these? I am looking for a bit more tread than sport demons and not for looks. Living in the Adirondacks secondary roads can still have sand and gravel up until late July. Are there tire options for the stock 2014 V7 rims? Or does it involve upgrading wheels too?
