    Ahoy from Vancouver Island!

Ahoy, hoy, from the south east of England. Can’t imagine I’ll be passing through Campbell River again anytime soon, and certainly not on a bike, but I was there in 2013 and know you have some great countryside to enjoy. I didn’t see any Guzzi’s during my travels there so am guessing yours will...

    First ride of the year!

Kent and East Sussex (UK Southeast) has some wonderful country lanes in which to ride so what could be better on New Years Day. A bit greasy and muddy this time of year but you can usually find a safe line. The clean-up is worth it. Happy NY to the forum from Maidstone, Kent, UK. (P.S. my V7...

Neutral Light failure on heat soaked engine

Hi Davy, you beat me to it! My sensor also tested out good but there was a bit of play in the spring so I swapped it out with a new one. I also wired in a new spade connector as well. But after fitting it still didn’t work until I backed it out a bit and fitted a washer.

Neutral Light failure on heat soaked engine

Well, I decided to tackle this today and I have to say I doff my Moto-Guzzi cap to you guys that can change that sensor from the side. I ended up with tank and air box off again. Having removed the sensor I can see why the connection is dodgy. Amongst a very big list of crap design choices made...

    Jacket recommendations?

Hi Rodger, if you can stretch your budget you will be rewarded for buying a good jacket from a proven manufacturer. Being too hot or too cold on a bike just detracts from the fun of riding a motorcycle. And wrt armour and protection, you will never wonder if you’re over-protected. I use a...

Neutral Light failure on heat soaked engine

I have this same exact problem. But I can’t find the sensor. Could anyone help point me in the right direction please? Can it be seen from the side or is it from looking up from beneath? I’m not usually this stupid. thanks, david

    1200 wiring diagram

The downloadable manual for the 1200 is fabulous but the pdf definition of the wiring diagram colours isn’t clear enough for me to read. Does anyone have a better quality version they could share please? I’m trying to follow the wires from the neutral switch to the ECU to track an intermittent...

MAYDAY! Dead Norge at Side of Road

Well I'm not sure what was going on at the Moto Guzzi factory when they fitted these fuel filters because my April 2011 Norge has a fully metal fuel filter. I know because I thought it would be half plastic so just removed it to change. Good news indeed. I will do my 2011 V7 tomorrow and see...

Good to know. Thanks. Mine are both 2011 bikes

    V7 Fuel Filter Not Replaceable?

Don't try and disconnect the pressurised line without releasing the pressure first. Disconnect the electrical connector block to the fuel pump, run the engine until it splutters and dies, then disconnect the fuel connector. Good luck.

That guy on the Duke needs to buy himself a car. That is NOT motorcycling weather. Brave or crazy? Hmmm...... I know what I think.

    Disappointed

I don’t think there’s a problem here. I live in UK and asked a Moto Guzzi dealer this question: Message: Hi, I want to replace the fuel filters on my 2011 Norge 8V and also 2011 V7 Racer. Could you confirm that the part number is GU01106090 please? VIN numbers are ZGULPS013BM111549 AND...

    V7 Fuel Filter Not Replaceable?

No, petrol and gasoline are the same thing here. I think that’s a very confusing typo and should say “Petrol will become E5, DIESEL will change to B7, ....”
