    rear wheel/fender removal?

Hi Nursed. It's a lot of work to take the rear fender off, but it'll sure give you a heap more room! Here's what I loosen/remove: L/H Muffler Wheel spindle (of course!) Bottom shock mount and pivot it up out of the way Then, with the help of my understanding partner, she stands on the right of...

This is a fabulous resource and we'd all be very much worse off without it. Happy Xmas to everyone from this part of the planet.

    v7 III muffler gasket on v7 850

If you can see carbon, it got there because a gasket, or sealing surface has been compromised. My guess is these may (emphasis on "may") be a crush type gasket. Therefore, loosening them off and re-tightening them is unlikely to solve it. Can't help you on if they are interchangeable with the 750.

    Eldo input nut?

TBH, it's so long ago that I honestly can't recall.

    Eldo input nut?

Apologies, Todd as I'm doing this from memory. It look the same set up as on the T3 I owned way back. It's the splines that go into the clutch plates? If so, yes, I believe that nut retains the splined shaft in your photo.

    Excessive valve tick?

Yep, that's way too loud. Check the clearances (both sides while you're at it) as per the specs. When did it last have an oil & filter change? That'd certainly be worth doing too. I'm guessing there are no other symptoms? Are the exhaust joints actually ok throughout the system? Hope you get it...

Cool V85 powered car from Britain

Brilliant! I may be a bit hazy with my facts here but a company called Triking made a Morgan lookalike with a Moto Guzzi (Le Mans?) engine. Then Morgan themselves went on to produce a 3-wheeler again but instead of a MG engine, decided to go with H-D.

Oil leak fiks on my jackal

I wholeheartedly agree. Do it once-properly. You can't put a value on piece of mind. Think of it this way: Those components have all done the same amount of work.

    V7 III Rear Drive issue

I'm pretty sure that's a crack. John is correct in his message. If you remove it and clean it, some wizard may (I emphasise "may") be able to TIG weld it. If you do go that route, replace the seals as they could sustain heat damage. Be warned though, that if it's cracked it could now be...

    False speedo readings

Hi Doc. I hope for you and everyone else that it doesn't happen. Are you good at micro-surgery? 1] Remove speedo head-a multiplug, a sensor and some nuts and screws 2] with a fine knife or scalpel, peel off the chrome bezel Remove offending needle and clean surfaces 3] Apply a strong glue to...

Hi LiGuy. I'm with Vagrant on this. Servicing is straightforward, bits are simple to source and Todd has a wealth of experience and as he says, the GTM shop. Guzzi owner since 1981. Love 'em.

    False speedo readings

Hi. It;s legislation that places responsibility on the supplier (as the agent of the manufacturer), or a repairer/trades person to honour any fault where there is a failure of an item or repair, and to quote the Act, "eg a repair or a replacement, from the manufacturer whether or not the...
