Instructions say check the final level of 60mm with spring in and fuel down......?
If you did it without the spring, you probably have to much oil in, hence stiffness...?
Can be done if it is of similar to the V7III construction.
I did it to fix a speedo & tacho needle errors but did not change the glass - I've had no condensation issues. Usual caveat - do at your own risk.
Have a look at...
Giddy in Wynnum! I have a V7III Special over here in Perth, WA. It is perfect for commuting and longer rides in the country. Will hold 110kph+ comfortably. 750cc is plenty for me - I've not tried an 850. With the GTM fuel map I get 350 - 400km to reserve per tank, mixed hwy/city, depending on...
I'm trying to re-calibrate the tc on my 2017 V7III after fitting new tyres, but it will not get past the 'hold at 30 kph' step with the light not going off after 8 secs but remaining on until I switch the ignition off. I have tried at least 10 times on different roads to no avail.
It did work...
Frybone: Apart from the rear drive seal leaking which was fixed on warranty (see relevant threads on forum) I have had no problems with my 2017 V7III here in Perth. Love it!
I did change out the plastic fuel filter for the metal one as a precaution (see relevant threads on forum).
Best thing I...
I'm trying a set of Bridgestone Battlax BT46 here in Aus on my V7III. Couldn't get the rear 130/80-R17 in the BT32. So far very good in handling and comfort. Time will tell on wear.
I doubt it is leather - my 2017 V7III Special is imitation leather - the 'refined material'.
Just keep it clean out of the hot sun for extended periods and dry it off after ride in the wet, like any bike seat.
On my 2017 V7 III the cat con is in the muffler as you define it. Changing them will obviously remove it.
However, if you do, it will change the tune of the bike and I strongly suggest that you get a fuel remap from GTM to suit the new mufflers. And so while you are at it, you might as well...
Oooh noo, beached as bro!
Might be reconciliation problems: would we speak Strayan, mate; or New Zild, eh bro; wear thongs (no, it's not what y'all think!) or jandals; eat fish and chips, or 'fush end chups'; keep the tinnies in an esky, mate, or a 'chully bun', cuz; choice, eh bro, or all...
