The owners manual says .22mm on both the intake and exhaust which seems odd because I thought the exhaust typically has a larger clearance. Is the manual correct? I am just checking to make sure it wasn’t a misprint.
Hi,
I am assuming it's ok to clean/degrease and then re-grease the clutch arm return spring and clutch arm pivot pin, right?
Should I avoid getting any lubricant/grease on the push rod and outer bushing? Or should I grease that too?
Thankfully after I tightened the bolt the second time, I believe the oil that appeared afterwards was just oil that was pushed out of the oil filter cap base. It's not leaking, seeping or weeping anymore. I didn't use a lot of force. The same thing happened before after a previous oil change...
I changed my oil the other day, replaced the oil filter but neglected to replace the rubber o-ring. After a 20 mile ride, I noticed oil had seeped out from around the oil filter cover. I cleaned oil off and then tightened the oil filter bolt some more. Went for another 20 mile ride, the...
My v7 III does the same.
I told the dealership about the bike tracking to the right when I dropped it off for its first service. Tech notes said " during road test tech removed his hands from the handles and was able to get the bike to track straight"
Oh, well.
Luckily, I don't feel any...
Anyone know the recommended amount in throttle grip freeplay for the v7 III?
I think i've got a bit too much slop. I am assuming i just have to loosen the nut and then tighten up the nut attached to the cable similar to adjusting clutch freeplay.
When I questioned the dealership about the valve clearances, I was informed they use the specs listed on the sticker underneath the seat and to use any other spec it may serve to be grounds for Piaggio not to honor the warranty if something were to happen.
So far I guess we are the only ones. Hopefully more will pop up. If not, oh well, maybe we can arrange a ride together at some point just the same. Thanks for the response!
Thanks Steve. I went to 12.5 ft/lbs and it seemed rather tight and got nervous about warping the pipes...so I said to myself... I better post here. The exhaust leaks a little bit at the clamp so I am trying to move it around and re-clamp it to find a sweet spot to reduce or eliminate it. Not a...
Bike: 2018 V7 III, DOP 6.16.2020
So last week Wednesday July 22, I had my first service done at my dealership. They said the valve clearances were tight and they put them to spec. Everything sounds fine on the ride home from dealership (about 20 miles). I take a long ride on Friday, maybe...
