How many miles on a tank of fuel? Fuel seeping out of cap

John L., Thank you very much for this real world, empirical data. I hope that you were not terribly inconvenienced by the lack of petrol and managed to get safely on your way again.

    Aus model Cali

I should add that it is the FACTORY H-pipe that often cracks. Although a replacement was available from GTM and is guaranteed for life, I saved my coins and bought the custom exhaust instead. And the 2 factory keys I mentioned are the ignition keys. If you ride long distances much, consider...

    Aus model Cali

I bought a used 2014 Cal Tourer during the height of Covid. It was in Tulsa, Oklahoma and I was in California. This website was invaluable with all its comments and tips. I was lucky to find the only Moto Guzzi mechanic in Tulsa (Mother Road Motorsports) and arrange with the dealer for him to...

I'm SO glad you asked! Just search online for a Fold-n-Go Walker. Get some good bungee cords and you are good to go.

Not near you, but you and your bike look like a good fit. Cheers!

    Faces with the names…

I hate to say this, but why do ALL you guys look so much younger than I do?? The bald jokes are bad enough. Now you're gonna start ribbing me about how I get off my walker and onto my 1400 Touring bike. :(

Helena Ohio to St George Utah with lots of Thunderstorms

Awesome ride report. Doing a long ride myself soon so was making mental notes about good rain gear and pizza! I have ridden or driven through many of the towns you mentioned. It brought back fond memories. Many thanks.

How many miles on a tank of fuel? Fuel seeping out of cap

You said it. I miss the old double petcock under the fuel tank, too. The engine could sputter and I would reach down and switch to the reserve while riding. Easy.

Hi. This is Reg from British Columbia, Canada

You will fit right in. You have 3 more motorcycles than I do! Welcome!

    I’m moving! Yeah!!!

Scott, if you run out of room for your bikes after you get the GTM Custom, you can always "store" one or two at my house on the West Coast. Glad to help!

    I’m moving! Yeah!!!

Scott, all of us are wondering what time we should show up for your housewarming party? Will there be fun activities like you raffling off one of your bikes? Should we start clearing our calendars for the Annual Scott Run to your place? Is there room to pitch a tent? You're buying the beer and...

So apparently Moto Guzzi sucks with getting parts to dealers

John in PA's story is also a reminder to us that if we like riding our Guzzis then we have to support the shop owners who stick their necks out to keep our motors running. Looking at you, Todd.

    I got BANNED yesterday! 😆

Man oh man. Spilling oil could kill somebody. Especially somebody on two wheels. I had not heard that, but I think it would behoove me to avoid Skyline! Glad you found better routes to ride.

    I got BANNED yesterday! 😆

Well, that IS something. Bikers get a bad name from bikers that do stupid, reckless stuff. Quite a long time ago, on Skyline Boulevard in the SF Bay Area, there was a biker who would use a steel chain to smash car windows as he was passing them because they weren't going fast enough for him or...

    Australia or NZ hitch maker?

Thank you for your time and research, Tony. Uni-go  is now in the States, and told me they do not make such a hitch. Schuring in the Netherlands makes one for about $800 USD but, frankly, that seems pretty steep to me. It's just a hitch! Harley and Goldwing hitches run about $350 USD here. Why a...
