    V7 I Classic

Hey Folks, It's time to replace the battery in my V7 Classic (2011). Does anyone have any recommendations? Speaking to a few people and apparently this model can be a bit tricky.

V7 I loss of power - electrical failure

yeah true, I've just had a read through the thread linked by GTM. Gonna go and see if I can access the bottom of the ignition switch and see if the wires are suspiciously loose/not soldered properly.

V7 I loss of power - electrical failure

Yeah fair enough, you're probably right. My thoughts were maybe some of the connections or wires just needed a spring clean. I'll need to figure out how to remove the ignition switch and examine it as that's something that seems quite tricky. I could always send it in for an examination to the...

V7 I loss of power - electrical failure

Update: Its ALIVE! I'm not sure what I did to be honest, just disconnected and reconnected all the wires to the battery and fuses, gave them a clean. Unplugged the battery from the bike and charged it up using the battery regulator. At first thought it was the battery because it was taking...

V7 I loss of power - electrical failure

thanks, I'll check out the usual first but seems the Ignition switch is a common issue, which is annoying as its a bit above my pay grade so if its the route of the problem looks like a trip to the shop. Gotta love Italian wiring.

V7 I loss of power - electrical failure

Hello Guzzi lovers, I have just done a round trip from London to Brighton to see some friends and as I got home, literally pulling up to my drive the bike completely cut out, no power, horn anything. I'm assuming reg/rec or fuse blown. Has anyone ever had anything similar? I suppose I should...

Final Drive Oil Swap - Breather Hole (V7 I Classic)

Ive just swapped the final drive oil in my V7 Classic, but the big Allen key bolt pictured bottom left won't budge so I have used the top breather hole to pour in the 170ml of Gear oil instead. It took absolutely aages but got there in the end, however most videos I have seen use the lower...

    Air filter - V7 Classic

Thanks, looks like I might have to remove the fuel tank a bit to get access. Seems like a fiddly one

    To any Italians..

Good point, I was talking about V7 I 2009 but would be interesting to hear what the original 70's V7's were referred to as well

    Air filter - V7 Classic

Bit of a noob question, but where the devil is the air filter on the V7 Classic? Its nice and easy to locate on the newer models but can't for the life of me find it on my V7 I. The manual just says ask a mechanic lol..

hahaha, La Stufa!!! I never would have guessed, I like it. That must be why my legs feel like bacon after a long ride.

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

updating my pic for a more stylish photo (without all the wires and gismos lying all over the bike).

    To any Italians..

What do you call the classic V7 V-TWIN engine configuration in Italian? I'm curious if there is a specific name you guys have for the V7 engine similar to the BMW K100 engine dubbed "the flying Brick"?

Non Spec Crash Bars (V7 III on a V7 Classic)

Much appreciated gents, they look and feel great on the bike.

Non Spec Crash Bars (V7 III on a V7 Classic)

Now I did...and they fit like a glove :D This is my first bike so want to make sure I do everything myself. Its not my first stupid question and it won't be my last! In fact, I think the last time I posted was about not being able to loosen the handlebar clamps because I didn't realise they...

    V7 Side Covers

Im actually thinking of swapping the side covers for some BAAK panels though I do like the 70s theme of the Classic.

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Thanks Man! yeah and a Kryptonite lock round the front wheel chained to a ground Anchor, you can never be too careful in London. That is a battery optimiser, I should have probably removed it for the pic haha..

Non Spec Crash Bars (V7 III on a V7 Classic)

Exactly right. I don't really care about returning them if I'm honest. Not that I have money to burn but I thought I'd try and see if I could fit them on regardless as I prefer the look of the V7/V9 crash bars compared to the ones that are designed for the Classic. Main concern I have is...
