    V85TT Questions

It's definitely a bit of a handful (top heavy) for me compared to my KLR, and with a passenger I nearly dropped it a couple of times at lights. I know Todd sells the V85 EU LED signals, I think the Mandello's are different. But probably just as pricey! Not sure I'm willing to spend US$40 per...

    V85TT Questions

I've owned my '22 V85TT for about 10 months now, and just turned 9200 miles. In contrast I owned my previous V7 for 2 years and put on about 4500 miles before trading it in on the V85. Guess that says something! I have the Adventure version (I believe it's called), with the hard cases and top...

    Evap removal from V7III

I just removed the entire canister. I preferred not to gut it as I wanted the ability to reinstall if necessary. As it happened I traded my V7 for a V85TT recently, and the dealer was happy to get the canister back so they could resell the bike in stock form! The only issue I had with venting...

V85TT Emergency service needed - error code P2130

OK, my mistake! Two different "throttles" - what's the sensor built into the grip called?

V85TT Emergency service needed - error code P2130

Isn't the TPS built into the right grip? It certainly looked like it on mine! I had the dealer install heated grips before delivery, and they gave me the original grips, which have the TPS built in. I also saw a video where the owner had a similar problem, and replacing the grips fixed it.

    V85TT valve clearance

D'oh! Didn't think about the seat - sure enough, there it is. I used a straw to refill the final drive, with a tiny funnel. Fuel line would be better! I measured how much came out, a bit under 150ml. Put in about 160. I couldn't see the oil level through the check / fill hole afterwards, but the...

    V85TT valve clearance

I have a 2022 V85TT USA spec, picked up a couple of weeks ago. Manufacture date is marked as 06/2022. I do not have the emission control info sticker under the seat. Unless it's under the glove box! Seems unlikely. Just did the first service, I set the valves to 0.15/0.20 - actually the left...

    V85TT Service

Hi all, Couldn't find anything about this via search so here goes. I see there's a service manual for the 2019 V85TT, but not for the '21 version. Have there been any changes? Comparing the basic maintenance items it seems the same, but of course the owner's manual has no info about...

    V85TT Windshield options

Interesting about deflectors above the fork tubes. On a longer ride yesterday I tried blocking that area (while on cruise control!) With my hands and could not tell the difference. This on my new 2022 V85TT Adventure. One surprise was that the screen works much better in its lowest position. I...

    V85TT Windshield options

Hi all, I picked up my 2022 V85TT 3 days ago and have about 160 miles on it now. For me the wind buffeting is terrible - my first mod will be a new windshield. Anything over 55mph or so and there's an awful low-frequency rumbling around my helmet. Repositioning the screen didn't help. I looked...

    Guzzi-curious in Cottonwood, CA

Well, here's a counter argument! I picked up my 2022 V85TT 3 days ago and have about 160 miles on it now. For me the wind buffeting is terrible - my first mod will be a new windshield. Anything over 55mph or so and there's an awful low-frequency rumbling around my helmet. Repositioning the...

    Hi from Tucson, AZ (USA!)

I thought I'd already done an intro a couple of years ago, but apparently not! I've owned a few Guzzis over the years: - 1997 Sport1100i - 1982 V50 Monza - 2019 V7III - 2022 V85TT I traded the V7 for the V85 yesterday. not without a bit of a twinge I have to say, I'll miss it even though it...

    V85TT Registry and pic thread

2022 VIN ZGUKYUA04NM000390 Bought new yesterday from On Any Moto here in Tucson, traded in my 2019 V7III I like to think of it as "evocative" rather than "mcdonald's" :-) I took the long way home from the dealer yesterday after picking it up. It may seem obvious that it's very different from the...

    V85TT updates for 2021

Actually I think Guzzi took the easy way out with the gear indicator. The ECU takes the rpm and road speed and calculates the gear, knowing the ratios. No sensor needed! The disadvantage being that the bike must be moving with the clutch released for the calculation to work.

2017 V7 III Check Engine Light

To add another data point, I'm having the same issue on my new 2019 V7 III Stone Night Pack (what a mouthful!). I bought it from the local dealer here in Tucson in late January this year (2021). The first time the CEL came on was after I let it idle for way too long while chatting with a friend...

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

2019 V7 III Stone Night Pack ZGULDU02XKM000056 Bought 1/20/2021 at On Any Moto, Tucson AZ I must say I wish we had the euro-spec lights here, the led turn signals & tail light look much better on Joerg's bike!

V7 III Special..quirks, advice, trip odometer?

I'm surprised that no-one's added to this thread in 2 1/2 years! I just bought a 2019 V7 III Stone Night Pack, and like all Guzzis it has its quirks. Some I don't notice as I'm used to Guzzi - I love the crankshaft torque effect at idle! Gearbox is surprisingly light and smooth, much better than...

    Evap removal from V7III

Thought I'd chime in on this thread. I bought s 2019 V7 III Stone Night Pack (phew, long name!) a couple of weeks ago, and have about 550m on it so far. I've suffered the excess vacuum in the fuel tank problem as described by Godfrey several times. Seems worst when the fuel level is low and...
