I had a CCM with a Yamaha DRZ400 engine that should have reved to around 9000rpm but kept cutting out at 6000rpm. After a lot of work the problem was......the rpm gauge reading low. If the bike is new to you it is difficult to know what speed the engine is running by the sound, so there is a...

    V7 stone II 2016 rack

The Hepco Becker racks mount very simply using 2 mounting points each side, to the footrest / silencer bolt (longer bolt needed) and to the horizontal bolt under each side of the seat that goes through the mudguard and frame. There is also a brace between the two racks across the number plate...

    V7II 600 mile service

I am not an expert on the Guzzi engine, but going back to basics, those 4 larger nuts on studs hold the head onto the cylider onto the block so should be torqued first. The small bolt pulls together mating surfaces to make them oil tight so is much less critical and logically should be...

    V7II 600 mile service

Next time it might be worth removing the stud and refiting it with the appropriate locktite (studlock) to help lock it in place. It will then be less likely to strip. Glad all OK at present. Just a thought, threads must be clen and greasei free when torqued. A greased thread will slide more...

    Refueling the V7

In uk the garages are also not happy about the bike being refuelled with a rider sitting on the bike as if fuel spills it goes on them.......it must be safer refuelling with the bike on the stand. AndyB

V7 fender eliminator in the UK?

Returned mine to Moto Strada as it would touch they tyre.....i think they may have modified the design now. Otherwise it was all OK, except that road dirt went onto the back of the seat. I closed up the gap on either side of the tool tray with rubber strip. My alternative was to copy what...

V7 Stone Rearsets with Stock Handlebars

    GT V7 Map Comparo

Hi Todd, It is over a week sice you wrote this and no response from anyone, which I find surprising. The whole ECU reflash issue seems to be quite complex and the discussion on the WG forum has had around 150 posts - all about the V7 motor. I have certainly learnt from it, although I have my...

Passanger Frame Exhaust/Peg - Bolt Fell Off While Riding - Part Finder Help

If the passenger put their weight on the footrest with only one hangar bolt fitted the rotation of the bracket may have bent the exhaust. As others have said, loosen the other bolt - AND the exhaust clamp - then see if it realigns OK. Be careful not to tip the bike over or knock. It off the...
