There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. This is NOT a social media platform; It's an ad-free, privately funded website, in small help with user donations. Be sure to see the GTM STORE link above; ALL product purchases help support the site, or you can upgrade your Forum profile or DONATE via the link above.
Be sure to see the GTM STORE link also above for our 700+ product inventory, including OEM parts and many of our 100% Made-in-SoCal-USA GTM products and engine kits. In SoCal? Click the SERVICE tab above for the best in service, tires, tuning and installation of our products or custom work, and don't miss our GT MotoCycles® (not) art on the BUILDS tab above. WE'RE HERE ONLINE ONLY - NO PHONE CALLS MADE OR RECEIVED - DO NOT EMAIL AND ASK QUESTIONS OR ASK TO CALL YOU.
Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. If you haven't yet, please upgrade your account which is covered in the Site Support section or via the DONATE tab above, which gives you full site access including the DOWNLOADS section. We really appreciate every $ and your support to keep this site ad-free. Create an account, sign in, upgrade your account, and enjoy. See you on the road in 2024.
One thing that has not been mentioned here is that marginal batteries take more charging current as they get older/weaker. The extra current draw can lower the running voltage on a motorcycle with a marginal charging system. The lower voltage results in lower state of charge of the battery so...
I know that it is necessary to turn off traction control and stability control with SUV’s for driver to have full control on mixed traction surfaces like snow/ice where some wheels are breaking through to pavement or gravel. At least some true off-road capable SUV’s have switches to allow...
I don’t want to keep this thread going too long, but will say that oil temperature of my completely stock 2021 running Motul 10W60 is reasonable in hot temperatures in the desert or cool mountain temperatures. Arizona has a wide ambient temperature range.
Scott says it best: Oil is cheap...
The "insert personal code" message is because you have not set a personal code. It will go away once you set a code (make sure to write it down in the manual and on another paper to keep with the bike documents). Double-check the obvious things like side stand retracted, gearbox in neutral...
Air filter is somewhat of a pain. There can be leakage around the edges of the paper filter unless they changed the air box. I used sealing grease on my paper filter and eventually replaced it with a K&N (has better sealing surfaces, but still used sealing grease) which lets the engine breathe...
I like to admire older motorcycles that others ride, but don’t want to deal with carburetors and AZ oxygenated fuel blends (several different blends during the course of a year). Therefore, I stay with electronic fuel injection (with oxygen sensor feedback) for my daily riders.
I think you can get the European LED turn signals on the GTM Store. I find your “top heavy” observations interesting because mine (with 3-piece hard luggage, engine protection bars, and center stand) seems much less top heavy than my previous adventure bike.
My experience with dash...
Also, it is overfilled if photo is with bike on center stand or on both wheels and held vertical. Maximum fill is to the top white mark. Minimum level is lower white mark.
I have found that modern fuel injected engines with oxygen (lamda) sensors (motorcycles, cars, and SUVs) get better mileage on lower octane gasoline (at least the various oxygenated blends was have in Phoenix). Premium is formulated to reduce detonation which makes it burn slightly “slower” so...
You don’t have a V85TT so I will chime in that I had similar results when I purchased and installed the multimedia module last fall. I had no trouble downloading the apps and connecting my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I did have a bit of trial and error to make my Cardo Bluetooth helmet headset function...
Thanks to Todd and Scott for your replies confirming my opinions about the screw type. I may buy a package of the screw type to add to my collection (as strictly temporary), but the Stop & Go will remain my main method for the car and motorcycles.
I am also concerned about your fuel mapping. My 2021 is completely stock and I routinely ride it in 100+ degrees F ambient temperatures around Phoenix without incident. I posted measured temperatures in 85F ambient earlier in this thread and all temperatures were appropriate at that time.
