Well, I’ve gotten over the misery of my recent dyno run & have taken a more balanced assessment of it. My air-fuel ratios not withstanding, I did believe I’d have seen a better result, but looking objectively I can see that the power levels off from around the 5,900rpm mark, which suggests the...

G’day & thanks for taking an interest. The dyno is a second-hand Dynojet (model unknown as I write) that we acquired from another shop. I say ‘unknown’ as I’m busy twirling spanners & wasn’t part of the acquisition or installation, but I will find out at let you know. Our dyno room is...

Well, it’s been a very long time coming, but I’ve finally got my hands on a Power Commander. I fitted it a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve not tuned it yet (on our new dyno!) This week I decided to run the bike on the dyno as-is, with cam, airbox and exhaust mods (as I’ve run it for several years)...

What "wasn't" shrunk, was the fuel consumption. Averaged from 11-13 litres per 100 Kms!!! Dunno, but I reckon that's around 19-23 (US) mpg.... Nearly sent me broke!! My Guzzi gets @ 5L/100Kms and my Impreza @ 10L/100Kms. Sooo worth it though. A ton of fun & I gave it heaps too! Immensely...

If you get a chance to take a Brutale 1090 RR for a ride, go for it. You won't want to give it back. I got my chance recently & it remains the most complete & satisfying new bike I've ever ridden. Wouldn't change a thing. Heresy from a Guzzi dude, I know...

    The allure of Guzzi

I remember the day clearly. I was filling my car up at a service station in Essendon (Melbourne Australia) when I heard the sound of engines approaching. Engines that sounded like nothing else I'd ever heard. I looked down the road and saw two bikes headed my way. One red & the other yellow. As...

Thank you. Aside from a K&N air filter and a 'holey' air box lid, I'm currently running standard fuelling due to financial constraints, however I'm considering shouting myself a Power Commander for Christmas. A part of the delay has been due to the cost of paying for a dyno tune since our...

    2018 Guzzi models

So much for the excitement of a new engine! Ever the optimist, I hoped that the once great Moto Guzzi might announce a water cooled v-twin with sporting ambitions. Let down again..... How refreshing would it be to look to the future instead of updating the past.
