1200 Sport ECU ..what other bikes use it

Have I read somewhere that Fiat cars also share the same unit. I think the physical unit is the same but can't confirm this. Also not sure if flash'able with Guzzi bike firmware - But possibly a path to travel :)

    BMW Builds a Griso!

Not the new engine though. And from the profile, may not get the new engine with the vertical flow... Picture: http://www.cycleworld.com/olgallery/105899/105921/18

    Norge bar vibration

I had a few combination on my Breva. Standard setup has vibrations. Helibars were better. Possibly down to a shorter spread and heavier thicker cast risers. The worst setup was using the Sport handle bars. Basically a long tube that can resonate. This might be nuts but maybe fill the tube with...

    2008 Stelvio digital display/speedo

I personally think that water enters through a failure of the seal and quality of the plastic casing and not through condensation as such, although the water stood inside the clocks will vaporise and condense on the lens. Ideally, prevention of water ingress is the best option I think, by...

    Sticker Bar Code under Tank?

Thanks for reply vinnychoff. Been checking some photos I have. Seems the text above the barcode reads: MOTO GUZZI S BREVA 1100 *Chassis No* Then the barcode. Not sure what the "S" is or if line 2 is complete. I do have my VIN plate and both chassis and engine numbers stamped to the metal...

    Sticker Bar Code under Tank?

Just a quick question... Taken from Breva11ServiceManual.pdf Page 66 What's the info stored on this sticker? Reason I ask is that it's gone! I did have one, even got a low res picture of it but now, no more - it's puft! Gone! Anyway, no rush, finish your coffee :D

    Breva handlebars.

Hi paulel. The riser blocks were off eBay from USA. Couldn't find them on eBay today but will see if I have the details still... The Sport raisers have removable caps - those shown with the insignia of the winged eagle. They just pop off - pushed on with an O-Ring seal. :)

    Lambda Sensor Failure?

Bike runs fine in, I think, Open Loop (off the ECU maps without Lambda sensor input). Seems smoother. Haven't done a fuel economy run but easy enough to put back to standard. Point being, you could disable Lambda :) Don't forget Ray1150 point above :)

Solved - Breva 1100 Dash Warning Light/ OIl Pressure Switch

Re: Solved - Breva 1100 Dash Warning Light/ OIl Pressure Swi Very similar to the neutral switch issue I had - bit of a dodgy connection. But having said that, the dash red light does throw up many more possibilities so it's good to know. It's nice popping in here to learn something without...

    Lambda Sensor Failure?

Something else to consider... Wire loom under tank/airfilter by left pot. May be touching. Water/Condensation inside clocks. Both produce symptoms like described I've read here. Also GuzziDiag is free software that may help diagnose Lambda issues. Cables are cheap too: VAG OBD2 II 409.1...

    2007 Breva 1100 running bad/rich, ECU code 31: fixed.

Just had my bike serviced - wasn't overly happy with job so yesterday took the tank and airbox off and indeed had exactly the same loom routing issue, touching left pot. All tidied up now though. Didn't have the error codes but did have a Service Light issue that needed resetting. Thanks :)

Condensation in clocks, Breva & Griso

Thanks for the Doc bronco_breva. Helped me avoid the needle issue and locate the 4 screws under the facia. Pined out two holes and managed to unscrew the unit from the outer case. Used rolson #000 thin shaft philips... Used a tooth pick to help lift the facia which was stuck more so around the...

I'm searching for a thread on changing inner plugs

Once I've got a spanner in my hand there's no stopping me - well until the engine! I'll probably get more used to things as I go on living with the bike and having just read Slygrin post above, there is mentioned that there's no need to remove the air box. Also I was worried about the crimped...

I'm searching for a thread on changing inner plugs

Managed to get the inner plugs out, just waiting for the new ones to arrive. Lucky I had an old 5/8" (16mm) box wrench to grind down. Cut to length and plonk a hole through. Used slow speed on my grinder to thin the outside wall, checking regularly. Stuck an 8mm hole in to fit 3/8 drive...
