I just had a chat with Ed at AF1 Racing.
He advice me to get only the lockset with its keys.
He said that most people don´t change the code and that is 00000.
Project is getting closer lol.
Thank u both for the answer. Didin´t know it was so complicated and for sure expensive. Besides the keys, it needs 2 new tires, right front and rear turn lights and for sure other hidden things. May as well offer $1,000 for future project or spare parts for my Stelvio. My rear brake lever is a...
Hi guys. I´m thinking of buying a 2008 Giso from a widow.
The bike has been parked for over 6 years since the owner died.
The trouble is that she doesn´t have the keys.
How hard is to get this key work without knowing the transponder code?
Would I have to buy a new ingnition switch with the key...
Ok guys I just came back from my trip to the Venezuelan andes. Highest point reached 4,304 meters over sea level (over 14,000 ft) and the Stelvio performed flawlessly.
Thanks for the replies.
Regading with the leaves LOL, I know that in Peru they even have coca candy for sale and is legal.
I´ll post again once I´m back from that trip.
Hi guys.
I´m planning to take a trip to the venezuelan Andes in September for my birthday.
Once there the roads are between 10,000 and almost 13,000 Ft.
I wonder if anyone has ridden their guzzis to these heights.
I don´t see any MAP Sensor in my Stelvio. The other two bikes I own 2005 Honda...
Any ideas where the oil is coming from? I just ordered an oil pressure valve sensor to replace it. Ihave known of valves leaking in car engines. Thanks
Ok guys, yesterday came the tech guy from BMW, calibrated the valve clearance (clearance was ok), replaced the spark plugs, and the bike holds the idle when the engine is cold :D
He told me that those plug caps are a piece of crap. I ordered a pair of NGK plug caps, just in case.
It was very...
Thanks once again to everyone for the replies.
I had a chance to drive it on a 260 km on sunday.
The bike is not actually backfireing on decel, but poping, I guess it´s normal for a twin engine.
I spoke today with the dealer who sold the bike (BMW dealer), they says that they have the...
Thanks for the reply guys.
I checked the throttle body linkage and it seems that nobody has tampered with it. It still has a red paint mark in the likage itself. Everything else seems untouched.
I´ve been reading in this forum about a stepper motor that controls the air intake for cold starts...
Hello guys.
Last night I brought home a (new for me) used 2008 Stelvio with 19,000 Km. on it.
On my way home I noticed that the engine is backfiring when i go downhill, this morning I turned the bike on and it start very fast, but it won´t keep the idle unless I put on some gas, this happens...
