I have a 2004 California Stone that runs fine untill you stop, go to idle. If you don't keep the rpm's up with the throttle or keep the "chock" on it stalls, fuel starved. Once you get it idling it will idle fine. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Go over the throttle body setup. This includes resetting the TPS position and doing a good synchronization. You didn't state the miles on the bike, and last service date. Any mods at all?
In addition to what John says above, proper tune (valve lash) and fuel system with a 14+ year old bike might be a culprit as well. You may need a new fuel filter and I highly recommend having the injectors professionally cleaned (not a fuel tank additive). I use www.RCEng.com exclusively.
