anyone had difficulty changing air filter on this model, the acsess is top front of airbox and is impossible to remove from frame unless you drop engine or remove a cylinder.I gave up and cut the top part of airbox in two halves, making removal easy, then fitted new filter and two halves of airbox, zip tied and a bit of bathroom silicon did the job, next time I,ll chuck the complete airbox assembly away and fit two K an N filters

Barry, air filter changes on the 750s are a problem. Most people take off the fuel tank to get access, although there's an instructional post on a Spanish site where the writer says it can be done (barely) without taking too much off.

Because it's such a problem, many people also change the fuel filter at the same time, since the gas tank's already off.

On the brand new 750s supposedly this has been much improved.

sign 216 lad,
tried all that, tank and seat off, battery out, rear master cylinder off, both coils, all emission pipes, horns and regulator, various trim, and still there is not enough room to remove acsess cover on airbox, its a bad design fault by the factory, perhaps they have changed it on later models.
I spoke to a mechanic at a guzzi dealership and he said "no problem we just take off a cylinder" I dread to think what the bill would be£££££££££££££! :woohoo: :(

Just to say that on the 2000 nevada it,s impossible to change filter, the acsess panel will not fit through top rail of frame. On later fuel injected models they made it easier. But my modification of slicing panel in two, then refitting with zip ties and a bit of silicon works a treat, its still a bastard to do though!
