2014 Stelvio, rear caliper problems

Taking my bike out of storage and a friend drove it back to my home for me, about a mile when he pulled into the garage he said the rear brake seemed to lock up and no pedal travel, brake was smoking hot when he pulled into the garage. Today I pulled the rear caliper and the pads are fried and no dust seal on the pistons, I got the pistons free but am concerned the the inner seals are ruined also, not sure what happened or what caused this, any ideas?
Looking for a rebuild kit for the rear caliper but so far no luck, Brembo 22.5571.01 with 28MM pistons any ssugesstions would be very much appreciated.
 
Thanks guys. If you tried a search at all, you'd quickly see that Brembo does not sell rebuild kits via any U.S. dealer. The rear caliper is made for Guzzi, so it will make things even more difficult. If you want to take it apart and post some measurements, I can try to be of help.
Otherwise, I just checked the price on a new one, and it's now a gut-punching $360. eBay is not showing any either. If you want to order a new one, use the STORE tab above to contact us on the GTM website.

The pistons are 28MM I didn't know if there were dust boots or not. the pads where fried so I have an extra set of pads to install. The pistons look to be in pretty good shape and are now sliding in and out pretty freely using air to move them. I'll see if they will work without leaking otherwise try to find new seals. Would a seal measurement be needed?
 
I seem to recall, but don't quote me, that the calipers (or at least the innards) are the same as those used on the BMW 1150GS for which I know there are rebuild sets available. Failing that I'd look at Brembo motorsports outlets as racers often have to rebuild.

Thanks Paul I will look in to the GS calipers specs.
 
Remember you have to correct why the caliper locked up. If the master wasn't allowing return of fluid, a new or rebuilt caliper will suffer the same fate.

The master does not seem to be pumping any fluid pressing down it goes all the way down with just a small trickle or nothing at all. So could a bad master have caused the initial brake freeze, not sure how this happened while In climate controlled storage. So with the caliper off pretty much nothing coming out of the hose when pedal is depressed and fluid cup has fluid, finally warmed up enough to ride up here in Minnesota and now this.
 
cleaned caliper and installed new seals and pads the pistons where in good shape and was able to bleed the rear brake without a new master cylinder, rear brake seems to be working properly. thanks again for the help, I will update once I am able to get some miles on when the weather permits, Still snowing in mid April, WTF
