2016 V7 Stone Throttle Cable

My son bought a 2016 V7 Stone. He decided to do the first service interval himself and brought it to my shop to service it. After service, as he was taking it down, the Stone fell against another bike while being unstrapped from service lift/stand. Impact broke the plastic pin that holds throttle cable and tube on handlebar, stationary. I was not in the shop when this happened. He took the throttle handlebar assembly apart to investigate, removing the throttle cables from their rocker mount.
I have repaired the broken piece, but now I cant find a repair manual that illustrates or explains the correct connection of the throttle cables. Based on my experience, I think I have it right, but its not like anything Ive seen before, and I'dreally like to be sure Its right. Can anyone steer me in the best direction?

AF1 has an OEM parts manual located online here. It has exploded views of different components of the bike if you need to look at assembly for anything.
 
Unlike other bikes, Guzzi uses an opening and a closing throttle cable. They don't trust the spring to close the throttle bodies. Once assembled, adjust as much slack out of them as you can. It will improve throttle control at low speeds.
 
As an aside, there are many other bikes that use a closer as well as an opener cable. Honda started that in the late 1960s/early 1970s when the original pull-only Honda 750 engine would pull enough intake vacuum that it jammed the carburetor slides in their bores and adequate spring pressure to positively close the throttles was too heavy to turn on the throttle grip. Guzzi should have done it with the LeMans 1000 and those big Dell’Orto 40mm carbs ... they took a huge amount of spring pressure as well as a very long throttle twist to ensure that they would close properly as well as not be too heavy to ride comfortably.

It makes perfect sense for safety on any bike, really.
 
My question related to path inside part #7 in the diagram; attachment of the cable ends to the rocker cradle on the end of the throttle right hand grip, after the cables are installed to the housing for part #6, which also captures the right hand grip and throttle cables. The route grooves in the right hand grip's cable mount for the return cable dont look like anything Ive seen before. It looks like an unusual route is expected for the cables. Almost lije both cables run on the same side. To run one on each side, as expected, the return cable literally has no grove to rest in.
I understand and agree with the safety issues of two cable throttle systems, and probably have the V7Stone properly reassembled. Its just a 'peace of mind' thing to see or read a shop intruction on a bike Ive hever worked on before. The diagram displayed is one I have. The diagram I want is the insides of the throttle cable handlebar hookup

I doubt very much that exists except as an assembly drawing at the factory. It was probably only displayed for the first time the workers assembled that throttle. After that they just put the thing together. My suggestion is to just study the piece and make the best assessment of how it should be assembled.
