I’m the owner of a 23 Ducati Multistrada V4s. Have all the extras including Akra exhaust up map . I do like it but at 180bhp is probably too much for me now (66yrs).
Am looking to get the 25 V100s not sure of the red or green yet . Just wondering am I mad to change and how are owners finding the V100 in terms of cost of ownership and common issues ( know about the coolant leak ) . Sort of hoping that by 2025 MG have resolved these now . Just looking for advice and opinions. Read nearly every review and YouTube video .Tia

Stick with the Multistrada. I'm 65 and would love to have 180 hp on tap for fun and games. There's way too many issues with the V100 for me to ever trust one.
 
You’ll find plenty of good info in the V100 section. As a former Pro roadracer, I find the power and cost of most modern big power platforms a sad waste; Good for the manufacturers, terrible for consumers for many reasons.
You will lose many conveniences of other brands, especially if service ease and access is critical for you. The V100 has flaws, and is the most dealer dependent ever for Guzzi. Guzzi’s had an amazing run up to the V100. Plenty that own them love them though. Note this is a Tech based site, not opinionated social media.
 
I just came over from a 1260 PP. I was considering a new V4 PP and the V100S. My confidence with Ducati was shaken after my experience with the 1260, plus the price of the V100S was less than half that of the V4 PP. Kitting it out with luggage and accessories was also much cheaper than the Duc. Maintenance on the V100 is more frequent than the V4, but much less significant each time. The V100 needs valves checked every 12k miles vs the V4 needs it every 37k miles; however, its really easy to get to the valves to check them, unlike the V4 which requires taking everything apart. If you do have to adjust a valve on the V100, it will be some work as I believe you have to pull the radiator and timing cover, but still much less intrusive than just getting to the heads on the Duc. If you don't do your own maintenance, just equate the effort to $.

The amenities of the V100 are closer to that of the V4 than I expected. The electronics package is actually quite good as its been carried over from Aprilia. The user interface is different- not bad or good, just different. If you really enjoy farkling out a bike, you will find there isn't nearly as much offered for the V100 on the aftermarket side.

I've not had any issues with my V100, but I've only had it for ~7 weeks and 1000 miles. Mine is a 2024, so I'm hoping some of the teething pains have been resolved.

Good luck with your decision. If you liked the old Ducs (especially the Desmodues), I think you will get along well with the V100. If the V4 screaming banshee is what you really prefer, then the V100 will probably be a bit lackluster.
 
Many thanks for the detailed reply . Just speaking to local dealer - only one in Dublin and not much more country wide . Something to consider plus looks like they’ve upgraded the 2025 version with the PFF and gearbox too . So could be a great package. Thanks again for the reply .
