Greetings all! I am trying to install the Admore Lighting rear LED smart light bar (large) on my 2008 1200 Sport for addition rear visibility when stopping or in traffic, and when I make the connections to the three tail light wires (brake, tail, ground) all the Admore light does is come on full bright with no brake light modulation. What am I doing wrong?

I don't have that particular bar, but I have Admore lights on my tail box. If I had to guess at this point, I would say you have a wire crossed somewhere on the install. Switch the brake and tail wire around on the install and see what happens. Multimeter will be your friend to confirm the wire functions.

If it's the one with the accelerometer etc. it has to be programmed with the included cable and free app. for all the features to function correctly.

Thanks for all your replies!
I heard back from the support folks at Admore Lighting! They responded to my online support request form that I filled out quicker than I expected! Here is their response below. I have not tried it yet but have located a source for the inline diode right here in "river city" (all the radio shacks have closed!)

Hello Michael,

Sounds as though you may be having an issue we have seen on a few models of Moto Guzzis. We have had other Moto Guzzi customers with the same problem in the past where the brake light is activated in tail light mode.

You may need to add a diode (1N4007) commonly available at electronic parts stores to the brake light wire as follows:

mgf.bmp

*brake light wire on your particular Light Bar will be purple instead of red as shown

Please give this a try and let us know if you are able to eliminate this issue with the diode. And of course, please let us know if you should have any other questions.

Regards,
