Just got it firing!
Soujourner69 saying hello from Hawaii. I have a "new" 2014 California Tourer. By new I mean it is December 2024 and Ijust bought this bike in Las Vegas from a retired pilot that only had 4,000 original miles on it (not 40 thousand, but 4 thousand), with all documentation, and yearly services and maintenance documented. It is nearly a museum piece. Came with rear trunk/backrest. All keys, everything that came with a brand new bike. Shipping it here was a long involved and expensive story, but it is sitting in my garage ready for a ride right now.
I have wanted this bike ever since I saw it in Mandelo del Lario, on Lake Como, Italy when I visited the Motor Guzzi factory and museum in 2014.
Oahu (location of Honolulu/Waikiki) has about 200 miles of highway, and hundreds of incredible beaches, and year round riding. Big Island has 700 miles of highway riding, Maui has about 500 miles of riding, and we won't try out Kauai, Lanai, or Molokai, haha, about 40 miles.
This is my 4th Goose in the last Sixty years of motorcycle riding. My first was a V7 Sport, then a LeMans II, after that a T-3. Loved them all but I am not a collector, I ride my motorcycles and only keep 2 at a time. Currently my "other" bike is my 1946 Indian Chief Bonneville Roadmaster.
