I just mounted this pair of AltRider foot pegs on my v85 and really like them. The position on these crash bars put them up pretty high, but I found that I like that as an alternative riding position. Kind of like putting your feet up on the sofa. They're pretty pricey ($200) but definitely great quality. I found a knockoff on Amazon for about half their price but didn't trust it would be as good.
Notice I have two small ,additional foot pegs mounted down lower. This was covered in a previous post. It's a good idea to have more than one position to rest your feet on a long trip. Either foot peg location allows me to stretch my legs and put enough pressure on my lower back as I lean against my big duffel bag to lift my rear off the seat. This feels good if your butt gets sore sitting on the saddle for an extended period of time.
