I have installed the Bitubo cartridge on my forks. I didn't have much expectations tb honest but on my first braking the difference was huge, with much much less diving. Comfort level was at least on par with stock, so it's all been beneficial.
At the rear, I've mounted Öhlins shock, chosen mostly for their look, their name (yes I admit it's a bad reason :D) and because the springs were lighter. I'm myself not very heavy (below 80kg) and found the stocks way too harsh. Shocks aren't dedicated to the V7 though, it's a model for Kawasaki Twin. Note they're slightly shorter than stock too. I'm happy with them. Would love having externally adjustable compression option, but it's rebound only.

I work hard to keep things factual/correct so that people don’t make costly mistakes like this here. Motorbikes aren’t cars. You shouldn’t swap shock models simply because they “fit.” Sounds like you have a dangerous and imbalanced bike now.
We do not talk about or sell products (like this) here, though people seem to love to post here on what they did wrong. We wish you the best of luck.

Trying to keep things factual is great. So why make this (absolutely wrong) guess a statement? My bike is very balanced now. Actually, compared to stock, I think you can do whatever you want and it will be an improvement. The rear is hard as fuck, probably foreseeing 2 passengers and a total weight of more than 350 pounds. And the front is... none, it's just a spring and a bit of oil slushing around. Even my first mountainbike suspension was less primitive! And that was years ago, and entry level bike.
What bothers you with my set up? Different stickers front and rear? Some do great shocks but not great forks or the other way around.
Or just because 'it's made for some Kawasakis? Seriously when you look at the compatible models, that gives you an interesting range of weight, power and leverage ratio. OK, I said I picked the shocks for look (bad) and brand (they do have good reputation though). But the model selection was not done by chance. Spring rates seemed like a match. Damping forces were a bit of a question mark, but considering the bike weight (including weight distribution with a rider on it) there was very little chances it would be off. And I was right. Could it be better? Possibly. I still have a couple of dials to play with, and will do. Now please explain my mistake. I'd like to understand.
