Spring is here (in NZ) and that means a wonderful long weekend at a Moto Guzzi rally. Upon my return I was washing off the crud and I noticed that there were a pile of dead bugs INSIDE the headlight.

It is not obvious how they got in there but I am hoping someone has a few tips on how to get them out.

Has anyone else seen this before?

they might have gotten in via the grills on the sides of the lamp housing then the heat cooks them

You should find that they're not actually in the headlight. Grab an old business card and insert it into the gap between the chrome ring and the headlight glass. You should be able to wipe them out.
