    Hey All,

Getting all my gear ready for a 2 week and near 4K Mile Road Trip out to Colorado on the Cali and I thought Maybe I'd post a list of what my Road Trip Tool Kit contains.

I ALWAYS take this set on my adventures on the Cali 1400. This is after having at least twice where I had to remove the rear wheel at a remote location to take it somewhere to get a damaged tire replaced.

Curious if others have similar lists and if I'm overseeing anything….The following will let me pull the wheels (minus a Jack), saddle bags, Racks, and do other misc. items if need be.

    - 32mm Socket and 14mm Hex Driver Socket
    - Ratchet and small breaker bar
    - Allen Keys: 8mm, 6mm, 5mm, 5mm
    - Sockets: 17mm, 13mm, 12mm, 10mm, 8mm, 7mm
    - 13mm Combination Wrench
    - Small Adjustable Wrench
    - Phillips and Flat Head Screwdriver
    - Leatherman Multi-Tool
    - MicroStart Jump Pack (Lithium Ion Jump Start Battery)
    - Flashlight
    - Zip Ties (numerous sizes)
    - Electrical Tape/Gorilla Tape
    - Tire Plug Kit and Mini-Pump

Sounds Like a lot but most of it packs down pretty well in a tool Roll and just lives tucked to the back of a single saddle bag. Takes up very little space.

    Pics for example....

This list was VERY helpful as a new California owner. I was trying to find a company that had already assembled a package with all the key tools for this bike. I hadn't found one, but this list helps me create my own and I'm sure much cheaper that if I found one online. What did you use as the "pouch" to hold all the tools?

I just used an old craftsman wrench roll I had laying around.

    Glad someone found it useful!

I did too. I need to put something exactly like this before I head off on a trip in (our) Summer. I have never had to actually use a tyre repair kit before so I also need to dial up some You Tube clips to try and get the hand of that process before I find myself on the side of the road clueless.

Get a 12v air pump. They are quite small. I have had six flats over the years. I use to use Fix A Flat...and boy..did shops hate that. Then I used the CO2 cartridges..they put just enough inflation to ride along the side of the road til you get to a station. Now I have a 12v air pump. Got a flat on while on my 400 mile destination. It worked great. Also, I have found that the rubberized/glued strips work the best.
